All of this we find in the Great Dane.<br />I can never bring myself to call to a Great Dane a "pet." They are loyal friends to whom you are always right.<br />I appreciate the loyalty they give. They are willing to endure hunger and discomfort if they can just stay with the ones they love. Fear and loneliness are unknown when your dog is a Great Dane. There is a great satisfaction in the knowledge that your dog is capable and willing to handle any situation.<br />Despite their tremendous size they are perfect house dogs. I love the quite dignity of the <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-error">dane</span> and his quick response to a greeting. The way he lays his head on my lap to be petted. The paw that is raised to shake hands, a dozen times a day. The soft light in his eyes when he hears my voice. And his joy when I return.<br />I love the statuesque beauty of the breed. The graceful movement of their powerful bodies is a joy to behold.<br />Last but not least, I appreciate the rare intelligence of the breed; their ability to learn quickly and their willingness to please; the security that comes with the knowledge of complete understanding between you and your dog.<br />They have strength, nobility, grace, and beauty, but never arrogant. They guard those trusted in their care but never attack because their adversary is weaker. Their eyes express devotion of their love for their master. They are loyal, stout-hearted friends without pettiness and without <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">rancer</span>. With deep humility and great thankfulness, I am happy that I have known the devotion of a GREAT DANE! -------<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error">Keckler</span>-----<br /><br /><br />This is one if my favorites!!!! It brings tears to my eyes and makes me so proud to own such a <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-error">majestic</span> animal.
